If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel please complete the 'Travel Questionnaire' below. Please give us 8 weeks notice of travel. Remember to give us as much information about the countries you are visiting as different areas in some countries require different vaccines. The GP will review your form and we will ring you once the prescription is ready for collection.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
Due to the current global shortage of Hepatitis B vaccine, we are unable to offer this as a routine vaccination for travel. We do not expect an update on stock until early 2018. There may be exceptional circumstances in which it can be provided.
There are also stock issues regarding the Hepatitis A vaccine and we are currently using the combined Hepatitis A and B vaccine to cover Hepatitis A, but this is NOT the same as being given the full course Hepatitis B vaccine.
Further information can be obtained at https:www.gov.uk/government/news/current-global-shortage-of-hepatitis-b-vaccine
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
